Telemarketer Screening intercepts all calls that calls that originate from an “Unknown”, “Unavailable”, or “Out of Area” number with the following recorded message:

The number you have reached does not accept calls from telemarketers. If you are a telemarketer please add this number to your “Do not call” list and hang up now. Otherwise, please press “1” or stay on the line.

If calls from friends and family members display as “Unavailable” or “Out of Area”, they can still complete calls to your line by pressing “1”. However, telemarketers are required to disconnect the call and add your name and number to their “Do not call” list.
